Painting hair and skin are one my biggest fears as an artist. Even after all these years I find myself working carefully, especially when it comes to watercolours. To all my lovely blondes out there, please don’t take this the wrong way but, dear god…it’s one of the hardest things to replicate in this medium; even if it is one my favourite hair colours. 😀

I hear you there.. I’ve never approached hair with watercolors (I reserve those for landscapes), but I definitely have a hard time with blond in monochrome pencil.
I just found your art on WP discover.. love it! I must say I’m very fond of horns and tails where you’d least expect them, so your work is just what I enjoy most!

Ohh blonde hair in pencil is just as frustrating for me. Sometimes it ends up looking too white (like I was being lazy or something :D), and then going at it too much gives the appearance of a different colour altogether! Thankyou so much for taking the time to check out my work 🙂 and yes I have an obsession with horns and tails, lol so they just end up appearing in my work from time to time.

I found out about your site and work through DiscoverWordpress and boy am I glad I stumbled upon this. I have seen some fantasy art before but this is exquisite and make goosebumps on my skin while watching, especially Dickensian/Victorian themed drawings.
